FEED and FOOD SAFETY is a COMMITMENT

FEED and FOOD SAFETY is a commitment. The animal feed industry, including suppliers and producers are part of the food chain and is responsible enough for the safety of its products. It has a high priority worldwide. The trade and industry is assuming its full responsibility on the issues mentioned as it is being scrutinized by the market. Products that fail to meet their high expectations invariably invoke redress. The corporate reputations nurtured over years can be destroyed in a single swoop. Manufacturers, importers, exporters, producers, processors, wholesalers, distributors and retailers now recognize the need for independent monitoring of their products, processes and services.

The highly identified standards worldwide in terms of food safety and quality are the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Point (HACCP) and the newest for Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) accreditation. The FSMS as the most promising standard of all refers to the on going collaboration between the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the food industry. It is intended to ensure the eradication of the weakest links in the food chain. The FSMS improves competitiveness in the global food market, provides assurance for quality, safety and reliability, ensures reduction of food-related diseases, better utilization of resources and provision of more efficient validation and documentation of techniques, methods and procedures.

The Philippine feedmilling and livestock industry is facing the bigger challenges of producing safety feeds for the whole Filipinos. A choice between profitability and corporate social responsibility is being passed on through the technical persons of veterinarians and animal nutritionists on how demand in the market can be served well. Food and Feed are binded together in the chain of production that needs bigger attention nowadays.

The most recent incidents related to food and feed safety from melamine, salmonella and E. coli issues have demonstrated that weak controls in the supply chain that dramatically affected the lives of people as consumers. The governments are propagating in its full capacity safer food management systems throughout the whole supply chain, from primary producers to exporters, and feed manufacturers down to its end users.

We would like to invite you with our journey for the Filipino people in creating a revolution in animal nutrition. The Green Technology of JA FARMS ASIA PACIFIC, INC. passionately serves it’s commitment of providing SAFE FEED FOR SAFE FOOD.
